We plant tomatoes for seedlings by EM technology
The street is already noticeably warmer, it smells of spring, which means it's time to do seedlings. EM technology will help any of us to get a high yield of any variety you like. However, it is the protection of tomatoes from diseases that requires certain knowledge and efforts, especially in the early years of the introduction of EM technology.

Experienced gardeners, gardeners, of course, already know that in the case of planting seeds, EM compost plays an important role, and in the fall they prepared it for future beds. But if your soil is not prepared, then 2 weeks before planting, lay the soil in boxes, pour until concentration 1: 300 with EM-solution is completely wet and cover with a film on top.
Soaking Tomato Seeds
Seeds are soaked in 1: 1000 EM solution for a period of 1 to 2 hours. Longer soaking can provoke seed biting, which can affect the deterioration of plant germination.
The ratio of the volume of the solution to the number of seeds is 1: 1. By the way, all seeds except radish should be soaked in an EM solution. The procedure is simple, but gives a consistently positive result.
After soaking, the seeds are dried and sown in moist soil. If the seeds were pretreated with potassium permanganate, then rinse them with clean water before EM soaking.
Keeping treated seeds is not recommended. It must be remembered that the pickled seeds are unsuitable for processing with EM-solution!

Watering seedlings and young shoots
When determining the timing of sowing, keep in mind that EM technology accelerates the development of seedlings by an average of 10-12 days.
It is better to sow seeds immediately in those cups in which they will grow. The volume of cups for seedlings is at least 0.5 liters. If seeds are sown in boxes, then the distance between rows should be about 5 cm. When growing seedlings without transplanting into cups, the distance between plants and rows should be about 10 cm.
Sowing seeds is best done in a checkerboard pattern. More sparse sowing allows you to grow strong seedlings. Seeds are planted in soil of medium humidity to a depth of 1-1.5 cm. If it was not possible to achieve the desired friability of the soil, then the depth of sowing of seeds decreases by 0.5 cm. The soil above the planting site is slightly pressed with fingers. A small watering, preferably warm water, after planting is required.
Next, the landing cups or boxes until the seedlings appear are closed with a film and installed in a warm place with a temperature of 23-27 ° С.

Growing tomato seedlings
Watering or spraying seedlings should begin no earlier than 2 weeks after their appearance, spraying once a week. To do this, prepare an EM solution 1: 2000 (1 tsp. EM solution and 1 tsp jam or molasses in a bucket of water). Consumption - 0.5–1 liter per m2. If seedlings or seedlings are weakened, then do not spray with EM-solution, but only spray.
Watering with EM-solution should be carried out in the center of the aisle, preventing overmoistening of the soil.
Even a single spraying of young plants with an EM preparation at a concentration of 1: 2000 gives a yield increase of up to 30%.
After emergence, the film is removed from cups or boxes. They move to a cooler and brighter place. Practice has shown that EM technology allows you to grow tomato seedlings in poorly lit places (for example, on windows facing the north-west, darkened by neighboring houses), that is, where without EM technology this could not be done.
During the first week, the temperature, both daytime and nighttime, must be maintained at 25 ° C. The first 2 days of seedlings should be protected from bright direct sunlight by light shading. Usually during the day the seedlings are held on the windowsill, and at night they are cleaned in a warmer place. Starting from the second week, the night temperature on the windowsill must be maintained at 18 ° C.
It should be borne in mind that tomato seedlings are sensitive to cold drafts, therefore, when opening the window, the seedlings should be removed from the windowsill or carefully covered. With the onset of daytime temperatures outside the temperature, the seedlings must be hardened, taking to the balcony (loggia) at first for 10 minutes, gradually bringing the time spent in the open air to a full day.
A certain protective and growth enhancing effect can be achieved by spraying with milk between treatments with Baikal EM1 (100 ml of skim milk and 2 drops of iodine per 1 liter of water). At the final stage, seedlings can be poured with infusion of ash (2 tbsp. Per 10 liters of water).
It should also be remembered that subsequently, when planting on beds, newly transplanted plants do not need to be treated with EM-solution. Wait 2-3 weeks for the plants to grow stronger and take root.
